1. dress to impress. You want to look presentable. First 2 rounds are more on the casual side (but obviously still look put together). Last round you want to dress up a little bit more.

2. Be yourself!!! Honestly thats the best advice i can give you. There is nothing worse than forced conversation. I guarantee the last thing you want is to join a sorority because you faked your way during recruitment, only to realize you really have nothing in common with the girls. Talk about your hobbies, your passions, your summer, any involvement on/off campus (Jobs, volunteering) honestly anything that makes your eyes light up is a golden talking point.

3. Avoid talking about religion/boys/alcohol/politics etc. Anything controversial that may stir up a conflict of views is best to be avoided during recruitment.

4. You'll see tons of girls wearing their letters around campus during first week. Approach us! :) We're there to answer any questions you have and make the experience as comfortable as possible for you and help you find your home :) As for parties, just try not to be the girl passed out in a bush lol

On a final note, don't take anything you read on this website to heart. I come on here for a laugh every now and again but i promise you the actual greek system is nothing like this. You'll most likely actually make quite a few intersorority relations, personally i've got a few best friends in different sororities. It's really not as catty as it's made out to be here :)

Bid day:
- Wear a simple light colored tank top (so you won't be able to see a bright color underneath your bid day shirt)
- Wear jeans or a cute pair of shorts (depending on the weather)
- comfy shoes!
- This is the first day you are officially meeting all your sisters so you still need to look presentable (wear makeup and straighten your hair - keep it casual though)

2) what to talk about during recruitment
It's not so much WHAT you talk about but how you approach the conversation.

Some tips:
- Do not make me hold the entire conversation. You, as the PNM, should be asking questions about greek life in general, my sorority specifically, and even ask questions about my personal life (Ex: my hobbies, interests, sports etc)
- Even if you are shy, try your best to be talkative. If you act shy, you MIGHT come off as standoff-ish and that is not a good thing. Be yourself (even if you think you're weird) because chances are, we will like you more if you are open and outgoing.
- Do not talk about boys, booze, religion, other sororities/fraternities
- Avoid awkward small talk
- Tell us what you're hoping to get out of this experience. Why do you want to be in a sorority. Be honest.
- If you have any questions or concerns, we will be happy to address them.
- Do not be intimidated when you talk to someone who is drop dead gorgeous (trust me, it happens). Be yourself, they are just as nervous as you are. DO. NOT. CLAM. UP.
- Don't swear (or at least try your best not to swear)
- If you're a sassy person, don't be afraid to show your sass. BE YOURSELF.
- If you really want to impress a sorority girl = take charge of the conversation
