do a lot of guys/girls not get bids?

Is it common for guys and girls to not get bids? I heard that most don't end up receiving a bid

I feel like with sororities, it's not very common because of the way Panhel's recruitment system is! (Although I know it has happened, but due to extenuating circumstances). But with frats, I hear it's more difficult.

Sad truth but it does happen to quite a few girls, 800 girls signed up last year and the chapters each got pledge classes of around 30, you do the math.

fraternities usually end up giving a bid to everyone, it's very unlikely that you wouldn't end up getting one. not sure about sororities though
