why join greek l ife?

Hey guys. I am not in greek, but was wondering why anyone joins greek life (sororities specifically). Besides leadership or friendship, does being greek give you an advantage on campus? Not a harmful question, debating about rushing.

Being in a sorority had given me connections with girls who are talking similar classes with me. It's a great academic resource because you have friends to study with!

Yes it has! My sorority has us study for certain hours a week. Plus we must maintain at least a 70% average to stay active!

what qualities do the sororities look for? is it good to know people in the sorority?

knowing ppl makes no difference, during recruitment just be very outgoing, ask questions, be bubbly and dress nice, and you'll be good
also have strong involvement,good grades and you're solid
