chose the wrong one?
by: confusedI think I chose the wrong sorority because I don't really connect with my sisters. I respect my chapter's values but I don't feel like I belong and I'm not really proud of my letters. I don't know what to do because I'm already an initiated member so I can't do recruitment again. Any advice?

hey, that's an honest experience. I was pledge educator of my chapter and you get tons of new girls who share similiar feelings. I always told them that was the same thing I went through but I waited one year to really see if I liked it. And I didn't really connect with ppl in my pledge class but I met my bff the second year and everything changed. I also got littles who are my bff's as well. I think it takes time and if after a year, it still is going horrible, you can just drop.

I agree, that new girls often feel this way, and you should give it some time. You also have to remember that just because you are in a certain sorority, doesn't mean you cannot make friends outside of that sisterhood. So while I think you should still give it a chance, don't feel like you should limit yourself! First year is a great time to meet tons of new people in other circles as well.

Yeah right, we all know people who dirty rush for looks or other superficial things. Rush is completely different from what some sororities are actually like. To OP it's not your fault, and honestly give it till the end of this semester. I had a very hard time finding my groove in my sorority because i'm quite shy at first, but by the end of April I had found my best friends. I'm soooo happy now that I didn't drop even though I definitely thought about it multiple times.
