‘24 sorority rush favouritism
by: pegSo I rushed this year thinking it would be a clean slate and that it would be genuinely girls getting to know each other only to find out Greek life is just social politics at its finest. Literally all the girls already have who they’re letting in picked out, and even heard of certain unnamed sororities reaching out to people who weren’t even rushing asking them to join… really terrible experience. After everything almost everyone was forced to go to their least favourite sororities (guessing they’re the ones that are desperate for members) with barely anyone going to ones they wanted. Dropped and hoping for cob…

“Hoping for COB” GOOD LUCK CHARLIE!! Top chapters rarely make COB publically accessible through a sign up link or advertisement. They strategically reach out and choose girls who they couldn’t get during recruitment. If they didn’t get you during rush when you clearly preffed them on paper…it’s cause they didn’t want you and already rejected u. Sorry girl

It’s not so simple? I’m guessing ur a new member. some chapters have insanely good retention W tons of members and publically do COB like ADPI did in 2022.
Some small chapters aren’t desperate for members, they just choose to keep their office structure small.
AOPI sometimes makes cob private and does it right after fall rush to get picks before top strats do. Some small chapters have just had members leave after post grad so they take ppl in the fall and skip cob.

- adpi has year over year horrible rentention so that assumption about public COB is wrong

^nah I can confirm that I personally went through ADPI’s COB in 2022😭 they advertised it on their stories and had a linktree sign up page in their bio. They started it by forcing us to watch their recruitment video and then they all clapped for themsleves and we went to private zoom rooms after. So yes, it very much did infact happen haha

Like if you clearly wanted one specific chapter, you’d put it high on ur rank sheet after each round. If you didn’t get into any of ur top choices, it doesn’t mean other strats are desperate for members or that top strats dirty rush, it’s just cuz they didn’t want u!!! Duh! and if all ur top choices didn’t want u then it’s a problem W ur behaviour tbh only god or a psychologist can help u
