my roommate (not a greek but he did rush) in first year was the son of some Norwegian oil/semi-royal baron. His dad alone was apparently worth $455 Million (not sure why he was at UBC tbh. I guess it was because of his family’s homophobia), he once casually showed me his $19 Million IBKR portfolio like it was nothing.
He rarely stayed in the dorm except to sleep but living and talking with him was a bizarre experience.
gave me a ps5 as a goodbye gift so i guess that was nice
