How much of a time commitment is joining a sorority?
by: ConfusedBeen wanting to rush for some time. Wondering how much a time commitment, let’s say per week, it is being in a sorority? Assuming you don’t have like a leadership position within your srat. Plz give your opinions guys i wanna hear it from ppl actually involved in Greek life lol

Like someone else said, the more you get in the more you get out. And it’s true. Your level of commitment not only affects yourself but the entire sorority. Some sororities have members with such heavy academic commitment that you can visibly see it affects the whole chapters participation in events. Be prepared to want to be involved. 1.5 hour meetings a week with exchanges and socials after. You don’t need to attend them but it’s the best part. Philanthropy events, you should attend other frats and srats events to support them (DONT need to! But you should!) every frat and srat has maybe 1-2 big phil things a year? Not too sure abt that but essentially it’s lots of events and tiny things over the year that rlly make up Greek life.
