These geeds need a wake up call bro. The only frats obsessing over geeds are the frats that need them to look good or look like they got female friends. In reality, most frats do well at having friends inside srats and outside. We all have geed friends. But when you can’t get a single srat date for a formal and need to drag geeds to every event…just looks like y’all are so disconnected from the rest of Greek life and can’t get friends inside of it like the rest of us. Just saying :)

That’s actually messed up and culty if you think we should be dating people within Greek life just because were in a frat for 4 years of our life. There are 7 billion people in this world and there are amazing people out there not in freaking UBC Greek life. Thank u for coming to my Ted talk

I disagree. You wonder why people hate the Greek system? Because girls like you saying “make friends in your community” ubc IS the community, Greek life is just a perk that some people can afford and it’s a plus if you can make connections from it. I am so happy when my geed friends can come around because it’s refreshing from all the stuck up girls like you

^ if you aren’t here to be involved in Greek life. Leave. We have exchanges and socials for that reason. Why are you in Greek life if ur not gonna be an active member and make connections. The whole point of Greek life is connections. They are social clubs. The fact is, you joined a community to reap it of its benefits without doing the work to be an active member. We don’t need people like you who don’t put anything into the Greek community and don’t care for it or it’s members. It’s possible to have Greek friends and outside friends. I have hundreds of friends in and out. Stop being weirdly ignorant and anti social and basing ur perception of Greek life based on stereotypes of srat girls. We don’t need that. The girls and guys here are amazing and the only reason you don’t see thag is cause you can’t make any friends here LMAO. be like everyone else in the Greek community and get involved, that’s the whole point. Make friends (although I know it must be hard for you🥲)

To be fair, involvement should be based upon philanthropy and community improvement…

People aren’t in Greek like just for a “social club” to meet sorority chicks or frat boys. So many people are involved within their own sororities or fraternities for the brotherhood and sisterhood and actively participate in philanthropy. The entitlement is so unreal it makes me sad to be in a sorority seeing this

^ you clearly didn’t understand what the commentor was saying. They’re saying thag it’s okay to have geed friends but if your in Greek life you should try to make friends and socialize with members. DOESNT mean drop ur geed friends. It means have fun getting out of ur shell and embracing members of your community rather than not exploring Greek life at all

Pretty sure most people in Greek life do explore other options. this nonsense with “it’s stupid only being friends with geeds” is such an over exaggeration, I’ve never met a frat who ONLY hangs out with geeds so I don’t think this “commentator”, can say that they fully know who exactly hangs around what frats unless you’re a sweetheart or a guy in the frat. Besides that the guys in whatever frat can only be close with the guys in their frat if that makes them happy. Stop thinking you have control over what people want to do with their experience.

^ the only geeds I saw were graduates who were almost 30, girls who made fun of Greek life the whole time, girls who were there with their weird boyfriends, girls who are obsessed with frat guys lmao
