Volunteer Work in Vancouver

Hey, I was wondering if there were any volunteer opportunities that don't involve a major time commitment and is more for casual volunteerism. I am in a sorority and we do big charity events but I would love to get more involved in the Vancouver Area in general and not impact my grades severely (I don't have a car so I would go by bike/public transit)
