Why sororities being mostly white was a good thing
by: listenupWhen top sororities were mostly white getting in as a BIPOC was very hard. You had to be really good looking, social, and all-around high quality to beat out the other girls getting in. It's like applying for a job at a big company, there are 100 applicants, and only 2 people get the job while the other 98 are told they went with the better candidate. Not getting in meant that you had to be better, and pushed girls to be excellent. But now none of that matters, and in fact it works the opposite way, where regardless of your looks and personality sororities will let you in as a token, which is a BAD thing.
