Shut up this is a disgusting lie that hurts ALL sororities. Whoever posted this, even if it was bait, ubc sororities literally do not haze or do anything this type of weird. Sure we all have some traditions but they’re cute and not the sort of thing that would ever make you feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or embarrassed.

NO sororities haze. Panhellenic has VERY strict rules about this. The pledging process for sororities is basically learning about the history, values and rules of your chapter in weekly meetings (who the founders were, when the sorority was founded, etc.) and then there are initiation ceremonies which are different for each chapter.
Hazing is not a part of this process at all for any sorority, and anyone who says otherwise is being ridiculous and they know that what they're saying is a lie.

Hey girl! In my opinion I haven’t experienced or seen any hazing. I have friends in every chapter and they also have not. Don’t be scared and go into recruitment with an open mind!! If anything bad happens at all you can always go to Panhellenic and complain and they will take care of it but I HIGHLY doubt anything will happen!! But recruitment is so much fun and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it!

No sororities in UBC haze. 100% can vouch. My sorority does not, and I have NEVER heard of hazing within sororities here. Because literally if there was one little thing about hazing within a chapter, the chapter could get completely removed from campus. It's that serious that noone would even try to risk to haze. We can't even ask younger girls in my sorority to get us Starbucks for example.. that would be considered hazing lol. Most chapters in the US also have stopped hazing. Only the schools in the south still do. :)

My roommate who was a theta came back from a sorority pledging event an absolute mess after they had all the pledges get into lingerie and be chased through the woods. Active sisters would dress in all black and jump out and attack them and take the lingerie off of them. I cannot understand why she followed through with joining.
