Different perspective to look at

If your best guy friend was accused of SA and went on trial but he was eventually acquitted, would you still be his friend or would you cut all ties with him? Let’s say it was completely out of character for him to do something like this and you were shocked to hear about it.
Not trying to start drama or anything here. I’m just genuinely curious what people would do or how they’d react so we can understand why these girls did what they did.

100% yes I would and have cut them off. your good experiences with someone (which can also be surface level) does not negate what crimes they have committed and harm they have done to others. i know countless girls who have had things exactly like this happen to them, and so many are too scared to even report it -- yet alone push charges. I will always support women 100%. the odds are, sadly, that they aren't lying. just because something seems "out of character" for someone doesn't mean they're incapable of doing bad things, unfortunately.

Regardless of the type of abuse (SA, violence, relationships, GBV) abusive men (and people) are often some of the most charming people you’ll ever meet. They can’t continue their toxic behaviours without having a good reputation otherwise - having a lot of friends and making things seem out of character is part of the act/role/abuse.

There is no “proving” there is being found not guilty due to lack of evidence, legal grey area, and the overall difficulties of convicting SA in our legal system.
