Convicting SA is really, really difficult. It’s upsetting all around.

It’s not. Read up on it. More than 50% who have been charged - get convicted. Getting charged is easy too as long as there are a couple of “witnesses”. Many SA do not make it to court because it’s often only 2 people involved. Not in this case (as far as I can read up on). Being found “not guilty” by our justice system means- not guilty. Especially if other witnesses testified. Period.

Did you even read the courts ruling? The judge literally acknowledged that the girl was blackout drunk at the time and could not remember the encounter. He also sent a text to a friend that said, and I quote, “I knew she was too drunk”. SA is just hard to convict, it doesn’t mean completely ignoring unacceptable behaviour

There’s no such thing as being proven innocent. Not guilty = not enough evidence to convict without a shadow of a doubt. Don’t use legal jargon u don’t understand thx

The fact Fiji is even considering allowing him to rejoin and live in the house makes me feel physically ill. I’d rather frats be overly cautious than too lenient.

That is repulsive gives the whole fraternity and its members a disgusting image

Making sure girls coming into the system know about cases like this is important to keep them safe. I get that it might damage the greek systems reputation but I’d rather not have people prey on the incoming girls who haven’t been exposed to stuff like this before.

maybe it’s just me but do you really want to go back anyway? clearly a whole bunch of guys are cool with what’s happened, or at the very least have no problem with it. they shouldn’t even be considering letting him back. would you really feel safe there after knowing that anyway?

And now Gphi is back at it again as half their chapter go on another camping trip with him to his house in whistler ... why don’t we boycott them instead of the frats?

I wish Panhel could come together and make an agreement on how we as sorority women should post/treat those with allegations in the public eye. Not a great look when we’re out camping with shady individuals during recruitment season.

The comment above me... a huge majority of the girls in the top 4 are disgusted by Fiji’s actions and by the girls who continue to stand by them. This has nothing to do with tier and everything to do with morals and values. Girls across all tiers have a right to be disappointed, that’s not a “low tier” thing.

it’s not a bottom middle or top tier thing, it’s a “we protect women because we know SA is extremely difficult to convict because of legal grey areas even when the guy admits to knowing that she was too drunk” kinda thing
