blacklisting during recruitment?
by: rusheei’ve seen people saying things like “she was blacklisted from ___” does that mean the girls just didn’t like you or something more? are there specific things people to get blacklisted?

It means you did something genuinely awful generally. I wouldn’t worry about it - it’s rare. It means you did something either in recruitment or in your first few weeks at ubc that would make you immediately a poor choice to be a member of the chapter. This is rare and for more extreme cases - think doing something inappropriate, starting a dangerous rumour, insulting a member, or starting a ton of drama. Sororities pass on pnms all the time in the recruitment process for reasons that aren’t personal, just about fit (the same way you will pass on certain chapters), but being “blacklisted” means you’ve done something significant.

Honestly blacklisting usually only happens if you do something blatantly inappropriate. If you talk about how badly you want to black out at the frats, or show up drunk, or be weirdly s exual then yes u will be blacklisted from the chapter u did that at and likely others because they talk
