If you hate the Greek system so much then just drop
by: ?Seriously if you hate it so much and talk crap about your own chapter for attention then just drop. No ones forcing you to stay.

Those of us who are speaking out are not seeking attention but trying to share our experiences of discrimination in our chapters and the Greek system. I didn't say too much at the time because when I did, I was gossiped about within the Greek community and my own chapter. I thought about dropping at times but there were still aspects of being a part of my chapter that I liked (philanthropy, sports, my friends, being on chapter council, etc)and quite honestly I encountered similar discrimination in my other activities on campus. Sadly, it's a reality in all aspects of marginalized people's lives. So instead of just saying, we're wanting attention maybe you should listen to our concerns. I hope that there can be change within the system and that our voices and concerns can be heard now that people are speaking out.

RE: OK
Why should I have to drop instead of my chapter/the community working to be more inclusive? A lot of us who have had bad experiences were excited to join this community and do have aspects of it that we liked. By telling everyone who is speaking up to drop maintains the status quo.
