parties at frat vill?
by: wtfis no one gunna acknowledge how irresponsible it is for the frats to be hosting parties? BC hasnt even lifted restrictions to groups of SIX yet, yet they think they can hang with whoever they want? makes the whole greek system look bad too

I’ve been asking myself that. idk why I did it , I think all of us have been rly eager for social contact after all this time and we weren’t thinking clearly . it was stupid and irresponsible. hopefully we can all learn from this n do better.

having a party, sharing drinks with like 40 people is not the same as going to the beach with 2 other friends 6ft apart. and those that go to the beach in large groups are a problem too

Even if you don’t live with someone vulnerable, how do you know that someone you’re interacting with doesn’t either? What if they were living with elders or small children? What if they then visited someone who was vulnerable? God some people are so selfish...

You guys realize the cops came to check on it and didn’t give anyone tickets all they said was to keep the noise down so whoever’s complaining go to the police Because they clearly didn’t care about the party and stop being petty that you weren’t invited lmao it’s obvious which kind of people are mad

1. The only people who have the authority to hand out tickets are municipal bylaw officers, not the VPD, and especially not the UBC RCMP
2. The ticketing system was approved by the City of Vancouver. UBC is not a part of the City of Vancouver (why we are policed by RCMP not VPD) so the tickets wouldn’t be handed out here regardless.

Lol no one is mad that they weren’t invited. People are mad because you could’ve endangered a ton of people unknowingly and also are making the entire Greek system look bad when our PR is already so bad
