why is kappa always #1???

Because if adpi gphi or dg were ranked first they’d be accused of self ranking

It changes year to year and honestly wherever pnms feel at home is where they should go, ranking isn’t everything, and the top 4 are all relatively close. right now kappa being first is frat relations, looks, sisterhood, how hard it could be to get a bid, and other factors. but all sororities are special in their own way.

its based off a lot of stuff like how social people are, etc but its made to be a bigger deal on here than it actually is. Being in kappa would be a great experience if you feel like thats were you belong during recruitment, but any sorority will be fun if you choose based on where you feel you fit in. Most girls have friends in diff sororities and rankings rlly don't define your experience that significantly.

That’s just how it is now based on everything. 3 or 4 years ago it was dg and gphi competing for #1, the order of the four change every year. Next year it might not be kappa

I've been in the Greek system for 4 years now and my sibling was before that and I would say Kappa has consistently been 1st or close to 1st because they are really hard to get a bid from and always do well in recruitment, they consistently recruit really pretty girls, good frat relations and just overall cute aesthetic as a chapter. This is definitely going to get called a self rank but I am not in Kappa, just sharing a perspective from a different sorority. I have known really nice girls and really rude/fake girls in Kappa, just like any other chapter or really anywhere else in general lmao. Anything else that goes deeper as to what it's actually like being in the chapter can only be found by actually meeting them and going through recruitment! But I do know they rarely need to recruit more than 3-4 girls during spring recruitment because their retention rates as a chapter stay quite high (i.e. once girls join they stay and don't drop) which I actually think is a way better indicator of a chapter than how good they are at recruiting new members in the first place.

Kappa is just really good at branding. Even in the years that gphi and adpi did better than kappa in recruitment, kappa was always still considered #1 apart from the first few weeks or so after recruitment where everyone is crazily gossiping about pledge classes. Kappa has established a pretty good image and someone has to be #1 which is why it’s kappa

Kappa is just very consistent, and have been for a steady amount of time I think. Consistently good socially, with frat relations, looks, branding, image etc. All the top 4 are good though in these areas as well, just go where u feel best
