How difficult is it to get a bid in srats?

Pnm coming from different province and I’m thinking about rushing. I don’t really know anyone that goes to UBC so I don’t have any connections in the srat/frats. I really love the idea of joining but I’m just wondering what srats look for in new members and how difficult it is to get a bid?

hey! I joined this year having absolutely no connections in the greek system. it was really nerve racking at first but all the sororities made it really easy. and by just being myself and befriending the girls i was talking to I got a bid into one of the top 4.

srats look for a number of things! personality is a big one because it helps you make friends and connect to other girls but most sororities also want u to seem willing to be involved/seem like you would be helpful to the chapter (take on positions, go to sisterhood events, go to phil events, etc). At the end of the day tho if you can hold a conversation & seem like you would a good member you are 100% fine. Just keep an open mind & try not to let this website influence you too much.
