need advice after not getting bid
by: :/After the whole recruitment process I felt supper connected to one specific chapter and made it all the way to preferences. I really had the best conversations with these girls and saw myself fitting in there better than anywhere else. Obviously I put them down as my first choice but also included my second choice which I was not happy with at all. I ended up getting a bid for my second choice and basically had to hold back tears for all of the bid day celebrations. Girls from my first choice even reached out to me to say how sorry and upset they are and how sometimes the system just screws you. Would it have been better to leave my second choice blank during the choosing process? Is there anything I can do at this point? Is it even worth it to join my second choice when I know I wont be fully committed and will always want to go back to my first choice? Will it be weird rushing again next year?

Not to hurt your feelings but chapters rank you in order of how badly they want you. If you didn’t get your first choice it means they wanted at least 35 girls more than they wanted you. So sure some girls probably really liked you and reached out to you but if the chapter as a whole didn’t want you on their actual quota bid list they probably don’t want you..

from what I heard the reason some people got their second choice even after receiving a bid from their first choice because the panhel had to fill out spots for other chapters resulting in them being denied their first choice even after receiving a bid. Which suckS
