are sororities even relevant any more?

Last year saw less girls signing up for recruitment than the year before for the first time in a long time. A lot of people at UBC would never join a frat or sorority and don’t see it as a cool thing to be a part of or even necessary to have a good party/social life at UBC, and a lot of other people join them drop. And given the messy way marketing has been handled this year by UBC Sororities, I would be surprised to see significant growth in recruitment signups. Thoughts? Can it be turned around or
