Do people actually care what sorority you’re in? Are people treated differently if they rush/pledge a “better” sorority?

Hundred percent yes. That’s natural tho, you’re associating yourself with a group, thus associating yourself with their rank. Kinda savage but that’s just how it is

Yes, it matters what sorority you're in because it determines what social events you get invited to, which parties or formals or semis you get invited to, whether people actually show up for exchanges with your sorority etc. and also just your overall experience. If you are in a top/middle tier sorority you will have a much better experience than a bottom one like Theta or whatever.

Although your sorority rep might affect which frats want to hang with you, if you’re a dope person you’ll get invited to things on your own. There are girls from lower tier sororitys that get invited to semis/formals and parties

It actually depends on how you put yourself out really.
I know a few girls in the OK sororities that hooked up with half the greek village and became relevant because theyre thoty

Hey pls ignore all the other comments it really doesn’t matter at the end of the day what “status” your sorority is so long as you love the girls in there because that’s who you ultimately will be with

It matters most to vibe with the girls, but you will get treated differently buy the rest of the Greek community, (frats w exchanges in particular) and that’s undeniable
