can you drop a sorority after initiation?
by: ???I joined a sorority in the fall, but as time goes on I don't think I belong/want to be a part of it. I tried to stick it out but its not really working for me. Is it to late to leave? What would be the process?

For sure! I mean if you don’t feel completely comfortable and or happy in your sorority there is nobody holding you to it. Yes you went through initiation, and yes it may feel like you’re a part of this organization forever, but if you don’t want to be in it, you can drop. Many girls go through this and drop every year. Just talk to your exec and they will be able to transition you back into non Greek life!

The above comment is correct, I’ll just add one thing: you unfortunately cannot join a different sorority once you have been initiated so that is something to think about! Also, a lot of people find the second semester of their first year in sorority life a bit of a downer because the rush and excitement of being a new member is over, but then grow to really love it after they go through their summer sisterhood retreat and recruitment in the fall :) brings you really close with everyone in your chapter
