help me decide!

Everyone is saying top tier organizations are the dumb/hot types.... I am going through recruitment as a second year and am wondering if this is true. I pride myself in going to such an academically established school and hope that becoming a part of a top one would ruin this pride.. (top tier as in ADPI, DG and KAPPA)

Hey New member!

I am ironically from lower tier organization as this site calls it but I don't think it will hurt you at all to join a top one. No one care THAT much about what sorority your in; definitely not enough to alter their opinion on your intelligence. Keep your head up with whatever you join, they are all worth it.

Joining a sorority actually enhances your academic experience as you must obtain high academic averages to remain a part of the organization. I know and could even name some EXTREMELY smart ladies in all three!

This site over exaggerates pretty much everything. You can find dumb/hot types in almost any of them. Join where you feel you most fit in, and where you think you'll get the most out of it. Take reviews here with a grain of salt, and go into recruitment with an open mind. If you do that, you'll likely end up where you belong.

I don't know why people associate being attractive with being dumb haha it makes no sense.. DG happens to be attractive but they are also optimistic and friendly! ADPI happens to be pretty but they are sweethearts and fun! It seems that with a positive there always has to be a downside found... makes no sense

I'm in one of the ones you listed and in the past 3 years we've had:
1 girl go to Columbia grad school
1 girl accepted to the Harvard MBA program (probably dead give away, oh well)
1 girl pass her NY bar exam after graduating from Harvard Law
1 girl earn a top position in coming out of Sauder finance
2 girls earn research grad positions
2 girls get into honors arts programs
5 girls accepted into other law schools, including UBC law

I also know a lot of ADPi & DG grads and alumni who have either 85+ averages, grad research positions, law careers etc.

I don't know how this compares to the other sororities other than top 3, but it's good enough for me.

Buying your way in isn't the same as working your ass off for it.

I really hope you're kidding... I know a tonne of girls in the top 3 that part time jobs, pay their own dues and have A averages.

I really don't know how you buy an 85% average in honors arts, science or sauder, but if you do than that's great.

I wouldn't completely disagree with visa visa mastercard because if you have the money and the connections it's a lot easier to get into those schools

The girls I'm referring to all used alumni connections and chapter study resources to help them. I think that's an argument in our favour, but if you disagree than that's up to you.
