Come through recruitment, many sorority girls have tattoos, piercings, and dyed hair! More than anything sororities at UBC are looking for personalities that click with their chapters and enthusiasm about greek life.

You should definitely rush! There are certainly some sororities that choose to recruit only the "generic" pretty girls but if they don't like you for you, there's no point trying to change yourself just to fit in with them for four years. There are sororities at UBC that love diversity and what each girl has to offer, and if you get along with them there's no reason you wouldn't receive a bid!

Calm down hm.

If you go through and some sororities don't want you, you probably won't want them either; you'll know right away. I'm sure you'll get a bid with the right attitude.

However, I would NOT recommend calling out people on this website. You've given a pretty clear physical description of yourself and girls on here will DEFINITELY notice you coming through if they've read this. That last comment was pretty confrontational (and a little catty IMO) and that wouldn't work for me. You are joining a group of 80ish girls and a panhel community of roughly 8 times that. People will say stuff you don't like. You don't even know if that girl is in a sorority, goes to UBC or is even an f'ing girl and you could have handled it a lot classier.

Recruitment is a game of first impressions on both sides.
