rushing as a sophomore
by: ubc13Anyone have any advice in terms of rushing a sorority as a sophomore? I understand the likelihood of getting a bid is much lower since you're trying to get a spot along with freshmen. What do they look for if you're a sophomore, and is it any different than what they look for in freshmen rushing?

They are looking for pretty much the same things but it is best if your first year involvement and grades are strong. High school will start to matter a bit less. Also assuming you are planning on going through recruitment next year make sure any interaction you may have with women in sororities over the summer is positive as it will likely be remembered. Hopefully you have already had some positive interaction. If you haven't done too much in terms of community service and leadership or if your grades are low use the summer to boost those things.
