is it ok to drop from one sorority to join another

So I joined my sorority last semester and they're all really nice girls but I feel like I didnt look at other options. I wish I took time out to look at others because I'd probably fit in better with others. Also I feel like other sororities are more professional when it comes to meetings but this one is really laxed which i'm not really looking for. Tbh Idk if it's rude or not but I feel like I could get into a higher rank (I mean they're ranked higher for a reason!

Would it be weird to drop from one to try another or would it be really bad? Is it allowed even . Not naming this sorority for obv reasons

If you joined last semester I'm assuming you have been initiated in which case you can't join another sorority.

If you haven't been initiated then no, it isn't ideal and some girls might be salty but some girls have done it before

Once you are initiated into an NPC sorority (which every UBC sorority is) then you can never join another one. Not even if you transfer schools. You're in the system as initiated to that one particular sorority forever.

I just feel bad for the chapter that was unfortunate enough to initiate you.
