It really depends on what kind of experience you want. I like the greek system here because it's a really tight knit community and girls in different sororities are often friends, I don't know if the same applies to the frats or not. The chapters are a lot smaller, in the US the pledge classes have about 80 people where as the pledge classes here have about 30, you will get to know everyone pretty well. The US is definitely better for parties and Houses (the sororities don't have houses, but some american schools are the same)

Why compare them? But like the previous poster said, the parties and mixers in the states are much usually bigger and better. Although I think the fraternities and sororities have closer brother/sisterhoods here because there are less members in them. You'd think that would translate to better inter-fraternal and sorority relationships - but I guess not. If this site demonstrates anything, it's that there are a lot of petty rivalries between the different organizations in our Greek system.

Canadian here, going to school in America. Living in Canada is better, but you can't beat going to actual school in the States. Better education, better campus experience, better Greek life. It's a much more involved college experience that goes beyond just education.
