international reputation
by: ?What sororities are generally highly reputed internationally? (don't really care where they stand in terms of UBC). I'm thinking about rushing next year and a sorority's overall international reputation and its connections are important to me.

The answer you are looking for is going to be highly biased depending on the person and the factors you consider. When you say reputable, some ppl might value popularity over actual accomplishments. If you want to join a sorority on campus, you might as well just do research on each. Google them, or just directly ask. Before I rushed, I did mine and I chose a less "popular one" but I knew mine had better leadership roles and the girls in mine were really involved in things outside of the Greek system. If you're considering international rep, maybe you might consider how big sororities are. On an national scale, Gamma Phi, AOII and Theta have more chapters than the others and this can be good for networking. Google it. It comes up.
Good luck with rushing, and hopefully you find the one that suits what you're looking for : )

Totally agree with the post above. In Canada, AGD has the largest number of chapters followed by AOPi and APhi. Internationally, KKG is known to have influential/ rich alumnae and is generally top tier because of that. AOPi has the largest number of chapters internationally and it usually tends to be top or middle tier in terms of quality and alumnae connections (it's a different story at UBC....maybe because they're new). DG, ADPi, and APhi generally tend to fluctuate between being top, and middle tier depending on the university. GPhi, Theta, and AGD are usually middle tier overall. That being said, all of the 8 sororities at UBC are in general reputable internationally.

Hey I am from America and just wanted to share my knowledge on global rankings for your top four female organizations!. I have looked at each sorority that the University of British Columbia has and have some insight for you. I have friends who have gone to universities all across the US and sororities can vary from place to place. Where I am from, ADPI is the top at our university, but where my best friend goes it is quite mediocre. Delta gamma is top tier at hers; and bottom/middle at mine. Those seem to be the top two at this school from what i'm gathering, but they are usually pretty different from place to place. They have tons of chapters across the world so it is hard to generalize them nationally, almost impossible. KKG is usually the same at most schools, it is known for having richer girls and usually lies between middle and top tier. Gamma phi is generally middle tier, but can again range from school to school!

In response to "???" it is usually never the top dog although it is generally popular everywhere! if you are looking for something that usually stays neutral across the globe then yes Kappa Kappa Gamma is excellent for that! They are almost always either middle or between middle and top.

I am from the US and your university has 8 of the best sororities for sure internationally. Its interesting though because they are honestly different everywhere, not just from country to country but literally every school ranks them differently. There isn't one POWER HOUSE sorority internationally and there also isn't one nationally terrible one. I would only focus on how your school ranks them, that is all that will matter for your experience.

Yeah, I've heard about the KKG and APhi thing, the ADG comes as a surprise to me though.
