lets be real

by:

Although each sorority is special in there own way (yes, even the ones considered lower tier), its true that DG, KKG, and ADPI, are definitely the top three. DG is arguably the hottest sorority, and are extremely fun and outgoing. KKG is no doubt the chillest with tons of gorgeous, witty, smart young women. ADPI is well known for winning most greek events and strive to participate and work hard within the greek community, as well as being hot and fun. Gamma Phi is undoubtedly fourth place. This isn't meant as an insult, and their pledge class this year was definitely better than in the past, but they still don't quite beat DG, ADPI, or KKG when it comes to looks, social skills, or overall desire to be a member. Fifth place is a definite toss up between sporty AGD and the smart, quirky Thetas. Alpha Phi is definitely seventh, with AOPI coming in last. Again the lower teir sororities are still filled with smart, interesting young women, but as far as popularity in the UBC greek system goes, they definitely come in last. I think its important to add that no matter what each sorority is like overall, there are definitely gem girls in each. There will always be some girls who shine more in their individual sorority, and even if their in a "middle tier" group, they could be seen as top girls in the ubc sororities scene as a whole.

This is without a doubt the most accurate post about the sororities at UBC on this site, It's honest yet positive.

Legit. Kappa ADPi and DG are great and all, but sometimes this site forgets the wonderful women in the 5 other sororities as well

sure... tbh, the top tier sororities are known for their looks. Contribution to Greek life is definitely lacking for them...

Not true, DG KKG & ADPi all contribute to the Greek community just as much as the others if not more. So sick of lower tier sororities justifying the rankings by saying that the only reason these sororities are top tier is because of their looks. The members of these sororities are truly well rounded (smart, pretty, social) and that is why they are top tier.

Jealous much? I know tons of girls who've gotten into great grad programs, law schools as well as have stellar averages. I think being pretty too isn't too bad a thing

It's a fact that the only reason why DG, ADPi, and KKG are top tier is because of looks and even than KKG is slipping in terms of looks. The so called top tier sororities have among the lowest panhel averages, and have less members involved in other clubs at UBC compared to other sororities . So that doesn't make them well rounded as a chapter. Of course there are a few girls in the top tier sororities that are smart, and involved but as a whole chapter they are not better than other chapters when it comes to involvement and grades.

KKG is not slipping, I have tons of hot friends in kappa. Im in one of the top tier sororities and I got a fine average and participated in philanthropy and sport. These generalizations are not appreciated. This comment is not meant to be aggressive, just trying to set the record straight.

I'm not in a top tier sorority but I have friends in DG and ADPi; tons of my sisters are friends with Kappas. Some of these women are extremely talented and it isn't fair to say that they are only top tier because of their looks. I would agree that image plays a big role, but they too participate and make great achievements. Those who are bringing other sororities down need to start maturing. Try making friends out of your own sorority instead of breaking apart panhel. We are a community not a group of rivalries. It isn't high school, so grow up.

Agree with the post above. Sorority reputation at UBC is mostly based on looks and how many fraternity men like you. Totally defeats the purpose of a sorority. No one seems to care how well rounded a person is, all that matters is so many pounds of makeup you have on your face.

This statement is so false I don't even know where to begin.

certain top tier sororities have individuals who are well-rounded, but the reality is that some of the lower tier sororities are much more involved and well-rounded. They get little recognition because they have always sat in the lower ranks. The sororities that are top tier have the "better look" hence they get more recognition for what they do. With that being said, it is not that the top tier sororities aren't involved, but just in comparison to other lower ranked ones... they seem to lack. Quality wise, some of the lower tier sororities rank higher.

Most of these so called hot girls are only attractive because they put so much makeup on they look fake as hell and talk like they have an IQ of 0
