tiers
by: Ladies
You know what I find funny? When UBC Sororities promotes itself, we talk about female empowerment and how we're the largest all women's organization on campus. We talk about building strong girls, about the "highest type of womanhood", about support, character development, strength, and leadership.
What we DON'T talk about is the fact that from the minute you join, a solid portion of us will spend the next four years basing our opinions of each other by how highly we're regarded by fraternities. By men's organizations. And there'll be arguments and gossip about sweethearts, exchanges, and formal dates. This entire website has a tier system that's based on looks (AKA appealing to men) and fraternity relations. And it also encourages fraternity men to buy into the whole concept of ranking women based on their looks and their reputation, rather than who they are as people.
There is some serious contradiction happening here. Stop posting on this stupid goddamn website and start actually "living your values".
