recruitment schedule

Just to vent here...WHAT was Panhellenic thinking having Recruitment so much earlier this year?
Most girls sign up for recruitment once school actually starts, so having it early means they're going to get way less girls. Also, having it so compressed means there's wayyy less time for chapters to get lists for each round, it means everything will be way less organized.
And they need to stop having invitationals or rounds in general on the same day as Homecoming. So many first year girls want to go to Homecoming (as they should, it's their first year at UBC and it's a big event) and girls in sororities already want to go as well! Yes, I know it's at 5:30 and Invitationals ends at 5 but it means you miss out on the whole getting ready, meeting at the Nest etc because you have to rush to change out of dresses and heels.
This was such bad planning on Pamhellenic's part and I feel frustrated because most girls I've talked to in different chapters feel the same.

Totally agree, I wish there was a way to voice this to Panhel. They give out surveys about the recruitment schedule to PNM's after recruitment is over but they should let girls already in sororities say their opinions too.
I have class at the same time as Invitationals, and I'm sure there are lots of pnm's that do as well and this will just discourage them from going through recruitment (when we already have a pretty small recruitment compared to the States). Also wtf is with Bid Day being on a Monday night

the recruitment schedule was given to sororities in semester 1, for commentary and vote. all 8 sororities voted to pass the new schedule. there were 4 other possible schedules.

I have to miss two classes for tours on both Wednesday and Thursday...RIP my GPA. I had to choose between going to my lab today or being at recruitment and my advisors threatened to fine me if I wasn't there on time so...thanks, Panhel, for putting freaking Tours on school days???
