grades
by: HiI'm a second year thinking about going through recruitment this year. The only thing holding me back is I'm worried I won't have enough time to study with all the activities that take place (and I really need to boost my gpa this year). Do sororities have any programs (notes from previous classes they've taken for instance) in place to help with academics?

This question has been addressed in previous posts, and it also gets addressed on the UBC Sororities website and indidvidual sorority websites.
Sororities all require that you have a minimum GPA. I know that my chapter has study rooms booked in the library every week day, incentives for those who have high grades, and a note bank. I'm pretty sure every other sorority has something similar.
The majority of women in sororities are high achievers academically, and pride themselves on academics.

Sororities do have notes from previous classes that members have taken!
Also, I've found it's a HIGE benefit to have older girls in your sorority who have been in the same program as you to ask for help with studying. For example, I'm a biology major and so is my big, and she was such a huge help with advice, old notes, working through concepts with me etc
