ubc fraternity breakdown pt ii
by: Info.
Delta Kappa Epsilon: Biggest chapter on campus with the biggest house. Tend to be considered pretty middle of the road but well known on campus. Throw lots of parties that are well publicized. Non selective during rush (pledge class of over 50 last year). Not considered the closest in terms of brotherhood due to chapter size. Have a solid base of girls who come by the house a lot.
Ranking: Middle Tier
Kappa Sigma: Only got their charter back a couple of days ago with only 20 brothers remaining. Very difficult to say what their position is right now. Before this year would have been considered middle tier. Not a lot of focus on brotherhood. Like to party. Similar to DKE are known for rushing a lot of guys. Guys are chill but not super involved in anything. Used to be a much bigger force on campus. Hands down have the nicest house.
Ranking: Bottom Tier/ N/A
Phi Delta Theta: Preppiest image out of all the fraternities. Try to present an image of being 'fratty'. Were less known yet were boosted by having the biggest pledge class of this year. Due to being a dry house dont throw many parties. Do fairly well in sports. Often go over the top when drinking. Not well known by non greek community. Like to splash out at all events. Reputation is definitely on the rise but have work to do to become a top fraternity.
Ranking: Middle Tier
