sisterhood

As someone in one of the "middle tier" sororities you described (although you'll find out really quickly that no one actually cares about that stuff in the Greek system), the short answer is no!

I have friends in Kappa, ADPi, and GPhi who love their chapter and their sisters and seem to have an awesome sisterhood. Yes, there's drama (just like there would be any time you got a group of 100 together), but I think that's natural in any college student group.

I love my sisterhood as well, and at the end of the day it's just about finding the place that you can be yourself and call a home away from home :)

I've heard a lot of kappas talk about the lack of sisterhood in their chapter though. Even some of them will admit to it behind closed doors. I know way too many of them who have considered dropping because they didn't feel like they had much of a sisterhood. Can't speak for all top tier sororities but I've heard a lot about kappa

I had to take care of a kappa during ACF (no hate to the girl who felt sick), but when I went up to another kappa and asked if they could help out, she literally looked me in the eyes, rolled her eyes, then walked away from me and her sister. What kind of sisterhood is that? you expect other sorority girls to take care of your own members. wow. and the fact that you actually felt the need to pay $$$ to remove the post I made... goes to show how much you care about your fake image and recruitmnet.

I'm a kappa and I'm so sorry to hear that! I have amazing friends in my sorority and hardly ever hear my sisters gossiping about each other. Maybe I'm clueless but I do know it sometimes feel like girls outside of my sorority might be quicker to judge my sisters and I because of this stigma. I only joined last year so maybe others know more than me but I have found my sisters to be really tight and the older girls do not tolerate us gossiping about ourselves and especially other sororities. I hope this helped, remember I've only been in Kappa so I have nothing to compare to but I love it. Have fun rushing and keep an open mind. :)
