Opinions on dating within the Greek system? I feel like its one big cest pool, and people cant be trusted (guys or girls). Plus, breakups seem pretty brutal because it rules out a whole chapter. Is it worth it?

def not as long as u actually genuinely like the person and want to be with them u should go for it ! and everything depends on how break ups iare handled. as long as you aren't dumb or dramatic about your break up it'll be fine and the whole ruling out a chapter thing isn't always true as long as you're mature about stuff

In all honesty a lot of cheating does happen in greek village. Also there are always people in your greek community that won't care if said person is your ex and they will hookup with one of your brothers/sisters. If you're the type of person who is comfortable with that possibility, then yes, but it's much easier said then felt.

Are you mature? Is the person you're dating mature?

I'm happily in a relationship with this great guy who happens to be in a fraternity. This doesn't mean he's automatically trying to vie for our sorority's sweetheart and this doesn't mean I'm automatically supposed to hang around the house 24/7. We're all adults, and your partner's greek affiliation will be a very small part of your relationship. If dating within a frat is of greater importance than dating because you fall for this great person, you've probably got bigger issues on your plate.

If you and the other person are younger (first/second year) and in the Greek system then 9 times out of 10 don't waste your time trying to make a relationship work. That's the best time to have a lot of fun, meet a ton of new people, and (yes) hook up with a lot of people or just take things a bit more casually.

There are plenty of older couples in the Greek system that are in great relationships and are really happy. It's nice because it actually makes it a lot easier to make friends in your SO's sorority/fraternity, and as long as you don't do anything crazy or horrible if you break up, they'll still be nice to you afterwards
