worth joining a frat?

Hey Everyone! I will be attending UBC in the fall and most of the classmates I am close with will be moving out of province. Just wondering what it's been like for some guys in frats and if they found it worth it?

Honestly it's a great way to make new friends and conections for life . Come around during rush and choose the house who's guys you like the most.

Definitely worth it! But my advice would be to rush in second year. If you're living in res in first year it is super easy to make friends and will help you make connections outside of the Greek system and gives you time to adjust to uni classes/workload etc.

If you're really into it, definitely still go through rush in first year and meet some of the guys and see if you like it. If you do find a house whose guys you really get along with it then you can by all means join, but be aware that pledging takes a lot of time!
