At the end of a formal, do dates sleep together and are expected to hook up? What if people choose to go as friends?

Honestly who cares? If you dig the person hook up with them, if not, then don't. It's that simple. Not everyone is going to be hooking up although a fair bit will. Do what makes you comfortable
