verifying gpa?
by: hi69Do sororities and frats actually have access to see what your GPA is?
#1 by: dont do it
as a director of academics in a sorority, just please don't lie about your GPA. seriously. academics directors have to trust the grades that you send in and will ask for a screenshot of your SSC page to ensure you aren't lying. if you're being shady, we'll probe you further and figure out the truth.

^director of academics is a volunteer position without much power/meaning. No, sororities/fraternities have no way of seeing your grades before you go through recruitment, you can put whatever you want. If your GPA is a 70 and you put 75, it's nbd. If your GPA is a 65 and you say it's an 85, that willl be a big deal.
You will have to send in your grades at the end of the semester though, but at that point no one's going to say "YOU LIED ON YOUR RECRUITMENT APPLICATION" because once you're initiated they can't. They can only put you on probation if you're failing.

If you accept a bid under false pretenses the chapter can't initiate you if your grades are below the requirement (most sororities will double check after recruitment). If you refuse to share your GPA with the Advisors or Director of Academics then they will assume you are not meeting the grade requirement for your membership and treat you as such

Also, the director of academics is not the person that looks at your grades when you go through recruitment. The advisors do, and they have no way of verifying it
