what to wear during recruitment

Hey I'm a PNM going into first year, and I'm wondering what's appropriate to wear for each day of sorority recruitment. Thanks!

try searching on youtube for inspiration! but yes, the commenter above is right in that each round gets dressier, with the first one being most casual!

If you search UBC Sororities on Pinterest, they have boards of what to wear for each round! :) Definitely check it out as it gives some really cute outfit ideas.

Tours - Converse, jeans/pants, a cute shirt
Invitationals - wedges or flats, a skirt and blouse (think going for brunch with your parents)
Preference - heels and a nice dress (not prom nice, but fancy dinner nice)

Except every girl in every sorority (except AOII I think wore heels last year which looked really weird with shorts) wears Converse or Keds for Tours? Are you even in a sorority? You sound like a GDI.

I am and I'd hardly say that, you're probably the type who wear Birkenstocks. Keds are ok but I prefer sperry's

EW boat shoes? Only dudes wear sperry's. How iis this even relevant to this conversation, we're talking about what shoes UbC sororities wear for tours. All you have to do is look at the tours photos from last year to see that every sorority had either white converse or white keds on. You are CLEARLY a troll or just never got a bid to a sorority because literally everyone knows this.

ok but like what sororities wear for tours is not appropriate for pnms to wear. like if a pnm came in in a casual ass tshirt jean shorts and converse i would seriously question their judgement. also i agree other than tours converse are pretty geedy

I rushed two years ago and got my first pick sorority (which people said was top tier but that whole tier system is nonsense) and this is what I wore each day:
Tours: cute ripped jean shorts, flip flops, and a nice bright tank top with a cute necklace
Invitationals: nice romper with wedges
Preference: sundress from aritzia with wedges
Honestly though, it's most important to wear something you're comfortable in - I wore shorts because I heard it was going to be hot as hell in the rooms - and it was!!! The other two outfits I had worn a few times before and I knew they looked good. So totally up to you and your individual style! As long as you look like you care (definitely straighten/curl your hair unless it naturally looks good and wear a bit of makeup - I didn't wear much) you'll be fine :)

Holy crap does it really matter that much what you wear? As long as you're in line with the general dress code, it shouldn't matter if you wore Keds or Converse. Shouldn't it be more about how you mesh with the group?
