sorority recruitment

by: PNM

I'm going into first year in the fall and want to go through sorority recruitment but I'm on the quieter side! It's not that I don't like hanging out with friends, but I'm more of a heart-to-heart with my best friends kind of person than someone who loves being in big groups. I've heard that girls in sororities are really outgoing and extroverted...should I do it? What is some advice for recruitment? How will I know which one is right for me?

Also, are there sororities that have quieter girls in them? I know that stereotypes of each one are probably untrue but as a whole, are there ones that are more down to earth? (I don't mean that not being down to earth is a bad thing!!)

it never hurts to try rush and see how it goes! some sororities are quieter and probably more what you're looking for than others, i would go through recruitment and see where you feel most at home :) if you try and feel none are a good fit for you then at least you'll know, but there's such a range you're bound to find your home somewhere in the greek system!

I'm an introvert and I love being in a sorority. I really enjoy study dates and hanging out with girls in my pledge class. You definitely do not need to be an outgoing/bubble person in order to enjoy the greek system. Each sorority has bubble girls and each sorority also has quieter girls!
