by: Incoming FreshmanI really want to rush next year but I was looking at some frats and I came across frats presenting "the relevance to greek life" at IUPUI and was wondering if there are going to be new fraternities like Sigma Chi coming soon?

NO. Not at this time. Expansion is done when their is a need (increase in Rush #'s)and must be voted on by members of the IFC and Universiy. If there is a need to bring a new fraternity to IUPUI, letters of expansion opportunity is sent to the NIC and fraternities intersted in expanding to IUPUI will submit expansion packages to the IFC for review. Three fraternites will be selected to present and one will be invited to colonize. This process can take the entire school year to complete.

No, Delta Zeta just chartered in the spring of 2014 and Alpha Chi Omega will be the next to join our campus in 2015. I encourage you to check out the great sororities we already have on campus!
