DISCLAIMER: being brutally honest, go with what your heart tells you to do, really and truly consider what you are about to put yourself through. Consider the fact that recruitment is all about surface level looks. KD here is different from KD elsewhere, i promise. I know someone who suffered in this environment so badly that she no longer goes to UAB. I only know a handful of KDs who are actually nice, genuine people. The other 98% of this sorority are very stuck minded, stuck in high school (really really big emphasis on this), drama filled people. People talk yes, but these girls TALK, even about their bestest friends. Its awful and I only hear problematic things going on between friend groups and in friend groups (with a neutral opinion). Another one of my friends rushed KD and after she got in, she was completely and utterly changed. She does not act like herself anymore. She is not one to instigate in drama or be surface level/fake to people like me, who she was once close with. Now she is one of the most two sided people I know. I can’t explain the personality change exactly but i am sure other people have the same experience w their friends going KD. All of them are so two faced except a few, which I could count on one hand. I am not in anyway trying to hate on this chapter as a whole and not insinuating that this won’t ever change, but this is what I have seen from so many people. Please. Make the a good choice for yourself and for your own well being.

A sorority who all r genuinely friends with each other. Very known on campus and super social. They r super smart but a few members who dropped brought the gpa down in the past. Only going up

Dear PNMS - Get your ass off of greek rank and go into recruitment with an open mind, trust your GUT, not your ears hearing other people. The people who post negative views on any chapters page are most likely either cowards with nothing to do with their lives or bitter about that chapter for some reason that’s their own fault. I truly hope you all go into recruitment with an open heart, mind, and give every girl you talk to in every chapter an opportunity to connect with you so you can find your sisterhood. If you actually believe anything on this godforsaken website then you do not belong in a sorority, as I guarantee you NONE of the women in greek life at UAB would want you if they found out you were judgey towards another chapter before even meeting them. This message was written last year and I will continue to repost it every. single. recruitment. that I'm apart of. Last words of an active member: NO ONE LIKES A JUDGEY LITTLE GIRL. Just because you become a member of one sorority, that doesn't mean your best friend is apart of a different sorority. Peace, love, happiness.

these girls are honestly the sweetest and the kindest on campus! if you need anything they’ll lend a hand and help out! their GPA isn’t the best and they aren’t really active on campus but a majority of the older members are busy with leadership positions in organizations on campus. they’re very funny and flexible and have a kind attitude towards anyone. love them so much and i was thinking of rushing however i think i’m gonna COB in the spring once i see how this semester turns out

I was genuinely depressed when I was in this sorority. It was so hard to make friends and I would cry almost daily because i felt so out of place. Everyone seems so friendly but really does not care much about you. I would cry to my roommate because i dreaded going to chapter. I asked my sisters for help many times and got disregarded. I ended up dropping because I couldn’t handle it mentally.

This chapter is okay. Don’t really see they volunteering on campus for anything. Involvement is lacking. Maybe they need better leadership

kd is the newest on campus but also one of the most popular. these girls are down to earth and funny asf fr, people like them for a reason. they also have a STACKED sisterhood (all fine asf)
