Weird chapter… where’s da flavor? Maybe actually try and interact with other chapters. Seems to be part of their own world and not super friendly with other sororities.

Girls don’t hold good conversations outside of forced interactions, like mixers. Maybe try having personalities. Would describe as mid personalities that assume main character energy bffr

KD is one of the most drama filled sororities on campus. I could not name one sorority they get along with. They have a bad reputation on campus and the girls you do know of it’s never for anything positive, probably for flirting with their other sisters boyfriends or talking bad about the other organizations on campus. I have never had a positive experience with one of them. PNMs be very cautious when you are deciding to go KD…. They are also trying to play dirty during recruitment commenting false information under other sororities’ greek ranks.

Aoii has a rep for being having outgoing and also some more quiet girls but all are pretty nice. a good number of the cool people I’ve met at uab have ended up being aoiis. Pretty diverse group too. They know how to have fun but that isn’t their main vibe prob sum like just being chill and can hang.

OMG! I love KD, they’re diverse, fun, and are accepting. The only con I would say is their low GPA but they’re getting better! Thanks for always being so kind to other chapters and being about pan love ☺️

I rushed last year and was so drawn to AOII but ultimately found a better chapter for me. So here is the tea w AOII. They were kinda new at UAB and og had a reputation of modest religious bible beating girls but boy did that change. Over the years they’ve really polished up their social media look and have stepped up their recruitment game but as much as ppl give agd crap for their lack of diversity I honestly think aoii is worse. Their vibe for the past couple years was taking all the rich, catholic, Italian, privileged girls from the bham area. If u can think of a typical John Caroll girl, that’s what AOII was for a little bit. Like they actually do not gaf to recruit anyone that looks different at all. And granted that UABs rush population isn’t very diverse and u can’t place all the blame on the chapters, AOII genuinely will turn a blind eye to changing their look up. The girls are either rlly nice or rlly mean I don’t see an in between. They’re big theta chi groupies so prepare for that.

Ok PNMs. First off if ur on this page pls be mindful many of these ranking and reviews are fake and maliciously written to tear people down. It’s 2023, use greek rank w LOTS of caution. However ik I will attract some readers w this post and that’s why I’m writing it. Agd is the top stereotypical southern classic sorority at UAB. And granted UAB is so diverse and a urban research school that is so different compared to other schools in Alabama, agd does a good job of creating a nice bubble for “traditional” southern girls. They’re nice but notoriously known for their lack of diversity, strict rules, and catty girls. Don’t get me started on their advisors who breathe down their necks 24/7. As a UAB student who used to be in Greek life but left due to finances I have met many of these girls, I won’t say they’re all horrible. I’ve actually befriended some rlly great girls. Their PC 21 is the only saving grace of their current group. But Goodness gracious some of their older girls r some of the most prejudice and cold people u could ever meet. They go hard during work week and will saturate every form of social media to let u know who they are. Don’t let the facade fool u tho. They wanna look the best bc they have always been praised as the best for a long time at UAB. This year they lost a lot of sisters and to avoid the bad look, replaced them ASAP w a rushed and unfair COB process. They almost never COB so if that’s ur plan this year, don’t even waste ur time. As much as they’re gonna smile in ur face during these parties and act like they genuinely want u in their sisterhood they are gonna first see if u could add to their diversity quota and raise their GPA. That was their main focus last recruitment year and I mean it worked seeing they finally got top gpa. But srsly adding one melanated girl to every Pc and throwing her in the front of insta pics won’t fix the fact that agd will always lack genuineness. Oh and AOII y’all aren’t safe either. Y’all r just as bad and maybe even worse than gam.

These girls are so genuine and friendly. I get to talk to them during on campus involvement and are super sweet and funny girls.

Sigma kappa was truly the best decision I have ever made. They are such an amazing group of supporting women and I’ve never felt more loved. We care tons about philanthropy and try to get involved every chance we get. Those that puts us down are ones who haven’t got to know us personally. Take it from me there will be people who hate you everywhere you but at the end of the day comments on sites like theses do nothing. You should go with place you feel most at home and see for yourself how wonderful they are.

it’s a hit or miss with the people in this chapter. some ppl are awful & some people are ok. when i talked with them during fall rush i wanted to feel at home but i am happy where i am & my chapter. getting to see axid during the school year the involvement & sisterhood is poor but they are very popular for parting & social life. i do have friends in this chapter & starting nursing school in the fall but they really feel like its worse dropping since it consumes so much time. just be smart & make sure you are genuinely happy.
