cooperative housing questions
by: anonymousI know this is supposed to be about greek housing and all and I will probably get backlash for posting this here, but I don't know where else to ask. What is cooperative housing like? What is the reputation on campus? Is it weird or no? Sorry I just know nothing about it.

It is very strange. It's basically like being in a bottom tier fraternity/sorority. I'm sure those apart of it would refute this but I know a few people in one of the girl's co ops and it seems very similar to a Greek house. It is cheaper, but the houses are smaller, in poorer condition, have only so-so bonds between members, and don't get the benefits that come with being Greek (at least not to the full extent). I would encourage you to really think about whether or not you would fit in with whatever group you're looking at before you join.
