legacies

I'm really surprised and tbh disappointed by how many legacies were released by chapters this year after the 1st invitational. Is that normal? Which chapters are most sensitive to legacy status?

Legacies and recommendations don't do that much for you at Purdue. For some chapters it will give a PNM a little more time (invited back to one more round) but if the girl's in the house don't think she's a good fit they will release her. Obviously for a legacy they will most likely have to provide a reason to the alumna and/or nationals for the release.

Not all chapters are required to let alumna know they released a legacy. Women also are confused who a legacy is. In my sorority only grandmother, mother or sister. Aunts, cousins and sister in laws don't count.

I thank zeta every day for dropping me, because I would have gone there. I was shocked, but I was able to focus on other houses and found a much better house to call home.

yeah, it's weird....I know two girls who were ZTA legacies. Both were dropped from Zeta after two rounds and ultimately bid top houses anyway. Not sure what Zeta's issue is. These girls would have been all in as they valued their legacy status with their family, but Zeta at Purdue doesn't. Lol Zeta's stupidity is a win to other houses.
