Since the houses you mentioned are all popular during recruitment I have to be honest and say you will likely be dropped from those you didn't attend.

If you haven't already, please contact your Gamma Chi about this.

If you are excused by Panhellenic you will probably be fine. Also if you are a cheerleader or gold duster or the like chance are you'll get a good house.

Don't expect an invitation from Kappa or Pi Phi. They cut deep after 1st invitationals. You are considered a "No show" unfortunately. If you made a great impression during open house (which is hard with all them women they saw) you might get stand a chance at Tri Delt and DZ. Good luck! If you went to the other houses you still have an excellent chance to find the perfect house for you!

What do you mean by "cut deep?" I thought they cut many PNMs after open house too. What kind of cuts were expected from more middle tier sororities?

If you were not excused with your Gamma Chi ahead of time, you will be considered a no show. If you are unexcused, you will be cut from the houses you missed and quite honestly be cut from formal recruitment. I'm sure your Gamma Chi has already told you this If it's the case. Really only a legitimate school commitment from the university will exempt you. If it's University excused, you may or may not get another chance at the houses you missed. The impression you made at the first party would have to pull you through.

Unless you had Purdue class or Purdue athletic/team commitment, you most likely are not excused. Even with the mentioned commitments it would have to have been discussed with your Gamma Chi prior to missing the parties.

If it is determined that you simply missed parties for work, you are likely already dismissed from formal recruitment. I know it sounds harsh, but can you imagine 1200 or however many girls are going through recruitment trying to get a bid. Now imagine every excuse from work to illness to oversleeping. etc. coming up from the masses. Where would it end? Besides, sororities take commitments to their house seriously, If you are already have conflicting commitments to a house during recruitment, it's not a good sign you will be an engaging sister.

That last part is very true. This is more of a wake up call to PNMs who don't reailize that recruitment is a PROCESS that you have to stay committed to 100%. Entire houses sacrifice way more time than PNMs when it comes to recruitment. The entire week before school is spent preparing for recruitment and many sisters can face serious fines for "skipping out" on it. Our days do not begin when PNMs walk in for the first round and it doesn't end when the last one leaves. We have homework and quizzes and many other things that we could be doing, but for a few weeks we put recruitment first.

Set multiple alarms, plan your time out wisely, and know where buses are at all times. If something does happen please notify your gamma chi immediately.
