i didn't tour all the houses

by: pnm

I toured as many houses as I could. I picked by location where I thought I could get the most in, but didn't make it to all of them. I saw some on campus & I made it into the acres, but not to DZ and Tri Delt. I also missed ZTA and PHi MU. FOMO - what are those houses like? I know DZ and Tri Delt look very big and are newer.

in my opinion, dz's house isnt that great. it's definitely not that new or recently redone or anything. Did you go to dg or chi o? I didn't make it there and am curious

I heard that DZ does not have a cold dorm where everyone sleeps together and that they have an extra bedroom where the roommates sleep attached to their room. That really appeals to me. I don't like the idea of army barrack sleeping but I think a lot of houses are set up like that. But I heard they didn't show those rooms for tours.

I did go to DG and Chi O. They are nice. DG seems kind of crowded? I can't explain. Kind of small? Chi O is pretty, but it was very dark. Overall I liked all the houses though. I definitely want to join a house!

yes, dz doesn't sleep in cold air. Tri does does. A phi has a beautiful house and doesn't sleep in cold air. Does anyone know if dg sleeps in cold air?

I think tri delt has the option of sleeping in your room or in the cold area

Think of it like this. Would you rather have a situation like you currently do in the dorms where your roommate stumbles in at 2 am making as much noise as possible when you have to be up at 6 am because your beds are in the same place as your closet, desk, etc? Or would you rather sleep in a room that is only meant for sleep that is always dark and quiet? You can't write off cold air if you're never been in it. I've gotten some of the best, undisturbed sleep of my life in the 2 years that I've slept in cold air.

Remember, you're joining a house because of sisterhood. You don't even know these girls yet. If you're already writing off chapters because of the house itself I'd start questioning your true intentions.

I know you are right. It is most important that I like the girls in the house and they like me. Of course everyone wants a nice place to live though.

I think you would be hard pressed not to find all the sorority house beautiful. They are all different though. Cold dorms are great for sleeping, but they get very cold in the winter. It all depends on what you like... Aphi has twin size bunk beds and some of the girls push them together. You are still sleeping in your own bed, not together in one!!
The only houses I would be concerned about housing is AOll, only because they really don't have their own house...yet. And of course, Kappa Delta because they don't have a house yet either. Again, its all what you are looking for.
