gpa
by: HiPNMs, especially sophomores: Just to know what to expect, if you're GPA was under a 3.0 expect to be cut from a lot of houses. Putting that out there before the PNMs start attacking the board about if they're GPA is good enough. Incoming freshman, I'd go as far to say if your GPA is under a 3.4/3.3 you're chances of getting cut are pretty high.

Freshman PNM's: It comes down to if you can't make good grades in HS...you aren't going to make good grades in college. You didn't learn how to prepare or study. Sorry, but you are going to get cut by most houses. Grades are important. Lower tier houses will keep you and KD will need to fill their chapter.

It sounds tough but it's for good reasons. For example, I had above a 4.0 in high school but in college my gpa is a 3.75 and I'm a pretty good student. College is just harder. However, to even get into (most) Purdue majors you have to have above a 3.5 so chances are most PNMs are good.
