formal recruitment
by: LeeHow big of cuts do houses make each round? About how many girls attend a house during preference, and of those, how many are given a bid? I know it varies depending on the house

As a PNM you are probably dying with anticipation this week . It's not that one house cuts more deeply than another . All houses will maximize the number of girls they can have at each party . Obviously the more girls want a particular house, the more girls that house will have to choose from and subsequently more girls to cut each round. That's how it is viewed as a deep cut . Just hang in there enjoy the houses you're invited back to forget about the ones that have dropped you . After your final pref round list only the houses you would be excited to be a member in . Don't list a house just to say you Recd a bid or if you have no intention or even doubt that you will continue in your commitment to that sorority . The houses put tremendous effort into their recruitment parties and new member programs. If you don't want to be a sister don't list the house for a bid.
