No pre-rush parties. This isn't Alabama, so don't worry! While it's nice to have rec letters, they won't necessarily help you. Each chapter has their own way of handling recs and legacies. Some are required by their national organization to invite you to the first round of invitation parties, but that's usually about it. Make the most of the time you have at each house during recruitment. That's the best way to find a good fit. The houses do have a day where you can tour the physical houses prior to recruitment beginning. The tours are usually conducted by one member or two. It's strictly for you to tour the house. The sorority members are not allowed to "rush " you during this tour.
